Full Update: Taglit Birthright Israel Responds to the Evolving Situation
As the situation in Israel continues to unfold, we remain fully focused on the safety and well-being of every Birthright Israel participant currently in the country. We currently have 2,833 participants on the ground, across four different educational programs, all of whom are located in secure zones with access to nearby shelters. They are under the close care of our experienced Taglit operational teams and local staff, who are supporting them around the clock.
Taglit Birthright Israel maintains constant communication with Israeli security authorities and is strictly following Home Front Command instructions. Our teams are ensuring that participants not only have what they need physically, but are also receiving emotional support and reassurance during this tense time.
As part of our commitment to safety, all upcoming trips have been postponed through at least June 26. Participants who were scheduled to travel in the coming days are being contacted directly with further information. We continue to monitor developments in real time and will resume trips only when it is safe and appropriate to do so, guided by our robust emergency response protocols.
Earlier this week, in response to the shifting conditions, all groups adjusted their activities to remain within or near their accommodations—hotels, kibbutzim, and other safe locations across Israel.
We are grateful for the continued support, partnership, and understanding from our global community. These moments remind us of the strength of our shared mission and the deep bonds that connect us. Am Yisrael Chai.
We will continue to share updates in the coming days.
Wishing everyone safety, strength, and a peaceful week ahead.
