Birthright Israel Onward
Build your resume while building your network in Israel
With a wide variety of internships, fellowships, and other opportunities for professional development, Birthright Israel Onward offers Jewish adults between the ages of 19 and 35 the chance to build their resume as they immerse themselves in Israeli society and its many professional areas. Timeframes range from four to ten weeks, and participants emerge from the program with knowledge and experience that is highly valued by employers, as well as contacts they can call on throughout their career.
The Onward Israel program seeks to show Israel through professional development, but in doing so, its goal is to light a spark of interest in and love for their broader Jewish heritage. Many alumni of the program go on to be more involved in Jewish life, return to Israel and some even make Aliyah or take a more general educational trip as a result of their Onward Israel experience. The ultimate aim is for participants to create a long-lasting connection with Israel and to make the strong commitment to Jewish life and community that future generations depend on.

During my internship at the Onward Israel Hillel Program I am working at SimilarWeb. I’m in the Human Resources department. In the first two weeks, I helped organize the event at the beginning of the year. Now I’m developing a project about employee recognition. I am very happy about the opportunity and learning a lot. I think the most important thing is to have an open mind and absorb everything.
