Taglit-Birthright Israel makes every effort and invests many resources in order to provide its customers with service that is equal, respectable, accessible and professional. In accordance with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 5758-1998 and regulations enacted pursuant to it, many efforts and resources have been invested to make the necessary accessibility adjustments that will enable a person with a disability to receive the services provided to all customers, independently and equally.
Accessibility arrangements for buildings
Taglit-Birthright Israel does not receive an audience in its offices. One can contact Taglit-Birthright Israel through its digital channels. The following are the accessibility arrangements of the Taglit-Birthright Israel Center for Israeli Innovation that exist in the TASE building at 2 Ahuzat Beit St., Tel Aviv:
- Handicap parking – For those arriving by handicap vehicle and by prior arrangement, there are regulated handicap parking spots available in the parking lot.
- Accessible restrooms.
- The lobby of the building is located on the entrance floor from Ahuzat Beit Street.
- “Hearing Induction Loop” style accessories, for people with hearing aids have been installed.
- Admission to a service animal designed to assist a person with a disability is permitted.
Accessible customer service
- Training employees for accessible service – Training is conducted to introduce the field of accessibility, create awareness among employees and provide practical tools for providing accessible service.
- Accessible call center – Voice answering is accessible so that the information is conveyed in clear language and without background music.

- The website meets the requirements of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to the Service) Regulations, 2013.
- The accessibility adjustments were made in accordance with the recommendations of the Israeli Standard (T.I. 5568) for accessibility of content on the Internet at AA level and the international WCAG2.0 document.
- The tests were conducted for the highest compatibility for a Chrome browser.
- The site provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies and support for the common usage pattern for operating with a keyboard using the arrow keys, Enter and Esc to exit menus and windows.
- Suitable for display in common browsers and for use on mobile phones.
- For the best browsing experience with screen reading software, we recommend using the latest NVDA software.
- Documents or videos uploaded to the site before October 2017 may not be fully accessible. If one comes across such a document or video, one can contact the company’s accessibility coordinator and we will make sure to make the information accessible immediately.
- Providing information in an accessible format – the company offers its customers the option of receiving information in accessible formats. The provision of information is free of charge and is intended for people with disabilities.
